Shannon H. Shipp, Ph.D.

Dr. Shipp is a partner at Shipp, Needham, and Durham L.L.C.  He is also Associate Professor of Marketing at the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.  Dr. Shipp has been a consultant and expert witness for over 20 years.  During that time, Dr. Shipp has testified on such subjects as business valuation, liability, and economic damages including lost profits, lost earnings, and lost benefits. He has also testified in cases involving wrongful death, wrongful termination, personal injury, medical malpractice, divorce, commercial litigation, antitrust, wrongful termination of distribution agreements, and failure to exercise best efforts in promoting a new product.  Dr. Shipp has been retained by attorneys for plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal courts.

Dr. Shipp actively participates in regional and national associations that consider matters relating to the calculation of economic damages.  He has also completed continuing education in business valuation.  Dr. Shipp co-authored a chapter on the calculation of economic damages in Practitioners Publishing Company's Guide to Litigation Support Services.  He also led a team that developed software sold through Practitioners Publishing Company that is used to calculate economic damages arising from personal injury, wrongful death, and wrongful termination cases.  Dr. Shipp also provides technical support to subscribers to Practitioners Publishing Company's Guide to Litigation Support Services.

Dr. Shipp has consulted on economic, marketing, and sales management issues for firms such as 3M, H.B. Fuller, Texas-New Mexico Power, Texas Utilities, Donaldson Company, Inc., Studdard Moving and Storage, Choice Homes, Mrs. Baird's, Harris Methodist, and many other large and small businesses.

Dr. Needham is a partner at Shipp, Needham, and Durham, L.L.C.  Dr. Needham has been in the banking, finance, and insurance industries for over 20 years.  He has also been Adjunct Professor of Economics at Weatherford College and Texas Christian University.  As a testifying expert at Shipp, Needham, and Durham, L.L.C., Dr. Needham has testified on business valuation, liability, and in economic damages cases wrongful death, wrongful termination, personal injury, medical malpractice, divorce, commercial litigation, estate planning, and antitrust.  Dr. Needham has been retained by attorneys for plaintiffs and defendants in cases in state and federal courts.

Dr. Needham is past president of Southwestern Society of Economists.  He has actively participated in regional and national associations that consider matters relating to the calculation of economic damages.  Dr. Needham provides technical support to subscribers to Practitioners Publishing Company's Guide to Litigation and Support Services.  He has completed continuing education in numerous areas of insurance, banking, and business valuation.

Floyd Durham, Ph.D.

Dr. Durham is Chairman Emeritus at Shipp, Needham, and Durham, L.L.C.  and Emeritus Professor of Economics at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas.  Dr. Durham has been an economics consultant and expert witness for over 35 years.  During that time, Dr. Durham has testified extensively on economic damages in cases involving wrongful death, wrongful termination, personal injury, medical malpractice, divorce, commercial litigation, and antitrust.  Dr. Durham has been retained by plaintiffs, and defendants in cases in state and federal courts.  Earlier in his career, he testified extensively  on bank charters and worker's compensation issues.  Dr. Durham retired in 1997 but continues to serve in an advisory capacity with the firm.
